Blog Journal 4
I have barely had any experiences so far using twitter, I have only posted information about my blog. I have not interacted with any other twitter accounts so far. I haven't found twitter to be  beneficial at all, and I do not see a usefulness in it. Twitter might be helpful for my future career by adding to one of many social interaction sites to allow for job networking.
the digital divides gives students of a younger age an advantage in learning new information and technology quicker than older age groups. some of the causes of the digital divide is the rapid expansion of digital technology and the constant creation of new devices. Combined with slow learning, the gap becomes greater with every passing year. In my field there will continuously be new developments in technology and design, but theatre is many millennia old and digital media is not necessarily good for teaching or producing technical theatre.
Two software tools that I would like to implement into my future classroom would be Autodesk and Photoshop. Autodesk is a series of drafting, blueprint, and design related software used by designers to plan out buildings, sets, and more. Photoshop is an important artistic design tool that allows artists to draw designs for sets. Both of these software would be useful in teaching student how to design, plan, and produce a set.

ILP#1 Design – Windows Video Editor

My project was created using Windows Video Editor. This project focuses on an aspect of technical theatre construction. It describes the process of building a wall unit section. This video includes Blueprints, in media res photos, and before/ after photos of the build.

The grade level and standard that I chose from the Standards and Technology Matrices for ELA is 11-12th grade and LAFS.1112.SL.2.5. This standard asks students to make strategic use of digital media and to involve it into presentations to enhance the understanding of the material. I feel strongly capable to implement this standard within my own classroom and to teach my students. I have extensive background, knowledge, and certifications in technical programs and I believe my understandings of them will help my students.
The CPALMS website is an open resource that provides students and educators with thousands of tutorials and information on a variety of topics. The CPALMS site has a resource called Accents and Dialects which is used for theatre student if the high school age. The lesson focuses on students "researching and practicing various accents and dialects from all over the world". I would use this in my future class to help students work on the enunciation skills and techniques so that they can work effectively in realist plays and works of art.
During the Newsletter assignment I did not learn or acquire any new skills in the MS word program. This assignment was mostly retesting my abilities and knowledge that I have developed in previous courses. The only way in which I would improve my newsletter in the future would be to update the aesthetic and visual aspects of the newsletter. I will most like never use these skills in my future career as I will be focused on the use of physical labor, construction and artwork.

Blog Journal #2

I have had an extensive amount of experience using the Microsoft Word program throughout my primary and secondary education. I have created dozens of long and short essays during my education, as well as many forms documents, and miscellaneous items using the program. I would say that my abilities within the Word program is highly proficient and I have various professional certificates in Microsoft programs. I have found this program to be a very user friendly and efficient way of completing assignments and making professional documents.
As a teacher, the concepts of copyright and fair use of materials in an educational setting is very important, and the best way to approach it is by informing students on the subject. When developing my own teaching materials I would often share and peer review my presentations and work in order to create better teaching material, by sharing my work I will create a better course for my students. When I have students create their own work I will have them share and review the work of their peers. By reviewing and editing their work it will create better performance and understanding of the topics that we are learning.
In order to address the implementation issues of technology such as student privacy and Academic dishonesty, teachers need to start by addressing these topics with their students. In order to effectively protect student privacy, teachers must make students aware of their rights to withhold information from the web and that they can still safely use the internet without sharing sensitive information. Their are two key components to helping students understand Academic dishonesty, first it is the role of the teacher to properly and thoroughly explain assignments and expectations for students so that they may be prepared to complete the assignment. The second component is informing students on what academic dishonesty is and what forms it can take. By properly informing students, they will be able to avoid these issues and can complete their assignments with ease.

There are a wide variety of influences that make K-12 students and teachers to use technology in the classroom such as increased learning and effectiveness. Some programs such as Kahoot, which is a studying/ testing app, introduce fun ways to review lessons and material. Students can be more receptive to lessons when they are presented in a variety of formats. Using technology in classrooms allow teachers to have simple and easy ways to present lectures, reviews, and tests for students that are also entertaining.
The ISTE Standard for Educators that is the most meaningful to me is the Learner Standard. The concept of Learner Standard is that teachers are constantly and continuously improving their teaching by learning new methods and using new technologies. It is also important for teachers to stay current with modern research and information within their field. This standard is important for k-12 educators because there are constant new improvements to teaching developing students, staying up with modern research results in better performing students.
I agree with the label "digital native" for modern students today. To be a "digital native" means that depending on when people have been born it determines how easily it is for a person to learn a new technology. As a student i have not seen a lot of differences in my teachers. i anticipate that there will not be a huge difference in technological ability between my future students and I, having grown up in an age of technology it will be simple for me to understand newer technologies that come out in education or in my profession.
